Haley has been working with metal professionally since 2001. He received his MFA in Blacksmithing from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale. He is currently a professor in metal Arts at Austin Community College in Austin TX where he teaches a variety of blacksmithing courses ranging from introductory skills to sculpture and tool making. He maintains his own full-time studio in Austin where his work ranges from sculptural forged fine art pieces to architectural ironwork. Haley has been invited to exhibit and teach or demonstrate throughout the United States by a variety of craft schools and organizations, including Penland School of Craft, Guilford College, the Center for Metal Arts, New Agrarian School, Forging on the River, Artist Blacksmithing Association of North America, and the California Blacksmiths association. www.haleywoodward.com
