Take your basic knowledge of blacksmithing to the next level and delve into several different projects designed to hone your skills. Your interests will determine the topics covered such as basic tool making and heat treating processes. This class will afford you the skills to progress into the higher skill level classes or other more intense project based courses. This workshop is for those that have already taken at least one basic blacksmithing class or have had some previous lessons.

Wayne Apgar started blacksmithing in 1997. An avid student and admirer of Dr. Bob Becker, Apgar has continued to learn different techniques and skills every year. Wayne has attended many years of instruction at Touchstone Center for the Crafts, and began teaching there in 2008. Wayne is a member of ABANA, SOFA, and MASA. This workshop runs from 9am to 4pm each day.
