Explore the ancient technique of lost wax casting on a jewelry scale. We will begin with an introduction to wax working. After completing wax models, you will sprue, invest, and cast in bronze or sterling silver. Once the waxes have been transformed into metal, we will cover finishing methods to “clean up” surfaces and turn the castings into finished jewelry pieces. If you have metalworking experience, you will learn skills you can bring back to the bench, but no previous experience is necessary for successful casting. Beginner and Beyond
