Learn to combine various colors in the warp and dye your weft for the creation of an elegant shawl (or two). We will use colors in new ways as we measure a warp for shawls. Once colors are chosen we will dye weft yarns and as those wefts dry, we will dress the looms. This class allows lots of freedom for staying within comfort zones as well as stretching us to use color in new ways that are experimental. We will use dyeing techniques that produce magical results in design and depth in our weaving. Advanced Beginner and Beyond

Wendy lives in the eastern mountains of West Virginia in a log cabin where she works full time as a studio weaver. Her love of textiles began as a young child and grew into a full time career. Wendy hand dyes and weaves from two computer assist production looms. Her first love is working in silk, followed by cotton and other natural fibers. Her focus has been on creating babywraps and towels, exploring ways in which color and depth can be dimensional within the cloth. www.wenweave.com
