Join jeweler Elizabeth Tokoly for a live demonstration on how to make earrings. You will learn how to make a jump ring, forge, solder, and how to make findings for the earring. Finishing techniques will also be demonstrated. There will be an open forum for questions and answers on materials and techniques.
Elizabeth Tokoly is a graduate of Cranbrook Academy of Art in Michigan. She is the founder of EatMetal Art Jewelry Gallery and Metals Studio. Her work exhibits nationally and can be found at events such as Craft NY, Peters Valley Craft Fair, Sugarloaf and Artrider’s. Elizabeth has been an instructor for over 18 years at the 92nd St Y. She conducts classes at Peters Valley School of Craft, Snowfarm School of Craft, Visual Arts Center of Summit and The Art School at Old Church. Elizabeth is published in numerous jewelry books and magazines such as Metalsmith, British Vogue and her Japanese Hexagonal Collar graces the cover of Chain Mail Jewelry Contemporary Designs from Classic Techniques. www.eatmetal.org
