We will use our surroundings as inspiration for the printing process beginning with simple and carefree observation and design exercises. Working with non-toxic Akua intaglio inks both on and off the press, challenge yourself to find new techniques and methods as we explore color mixing, layering and the use of masks and stencils. Finally, put it all together in a series of small prints that may include ripping, tearing, cutting, stitching, additional mark making using pencils and markers, and more. Experience in printmaking is welcomed, but not necessary. Just come prepared to play. Beginner and Beyond
